Khadi Handmade Watercolour Paper Pads feature artist quality cotton rag paper for watercolour and all painting and drawing media.
These books have paperback binding and contain 30 pages - 15 sheets of 150 gsm rough paper.
Khadi rag papers are made from 100% cotton rag. Cotton rags have longer fibres than linters which are the shorter fluffy cotton seed fibres commonly used in papermaking. Genuine rag papers are rare and it is the fibre length of this raw material that gives Khadi rag papers their exceptional strength and durability. The cotton rag we use comes from T-shirt cuttings from garment factories, a reliable source of pure woven cotton.

A. No, the 150gsm are internally sized only with a synthetic neutral pH size (non-animal).

A gelatine size is applied only to the white cotton rag papers in 210gsm and heavier weights.

I have the 25x25 size of the same sketchbook but I'm still afraid to use it, so this size is perfect for me. It has this natural deckled edge that makes it look so special. Would be nice to try the hardcover for trvalling too. (Posted on 06/10/2019)

This soft cover pad is 150gsm so only suitable for sketching or collaging, but good pocket or handbag size and a lovely textured paper. Would make a good holiday sketch book or journal. (Posted on 26/07/2018)
