Lawrence’s Rhinds Liquid Hard Ground is an excellent alternative to solid ground. This ground is easy to apply, and its dark colour requires no smoking. An easy-flowing ground, it can be applied to the cold, degreased plate by either pouring on or brushing on with a soft brush. The ground forms an even, dark, acid-resistant coating and drawings will be easy to see. The ground will not chip or foul bite and is suitable for all standard etchants.
If the ground becomes too thick in the tin, it can be thinned with petroleum distillate/naptha.
