This is perfect for taking to oil painting class. I like the grey tone and it provides plenty of mixing area. If I want to keep the paint to take home then it fits perfectly in the Masterson Palette Box or I just throw it away at the end of the session. (Posted on 25/11/2021)

These tear off palette pads are coated, but unlike some other tear off pads for oil paint, these do not absorb any of the oil from the paint, nor allow it to seep through, and again unlike some others, the coating has a satin finish, not glossy, so it's easier to pick up or mix paint.The pale grey tint to the paper is easy on the eye and shows up the paint colours well.It would be nice to have two sizes available. In my case, I use small heaps of paint and generally only use perhaps 2/3 of these sheets for each painting.This larger size is at least versatile.I'd been disappointed to find the surface of tear off palettes greatly changed in recent years, so was very pleased to see Jacksons stock this one.
