A. Yes, you can use this tape for stretching watercolour paper. However, it is more commonly used as backing tape when framing using a white backing board.

Disappointed. It doesn't stay stuck, as the paper dries, the tape lifts off. Also paint leaks underneath, where it appears to have stuck. I stretched a batch, all the white taped half Imperial papers have failed, but the full imperial paper, stretched with 2" brown gummed tape are perfect. Prefer the look, so will try once more and apply more water to tapes.

I am an artist you can look up my name and I would like to say that this tape it perfect for stretching. It's a first time I used it and it's doing perfectly the job. If there are individuals that don't know the technology and are not familiar with common sense neither, for example, glued the tape and haven't removed an excess water and everything is swimming in water, then if there is anything wrong then it is not with the tape. For better results the process of paper stretching has to be observed until you're sure everything is stuck together all right. It would be the same with any kind of tape... (Posted on 18.11.2017)

Doesn't seem as sticky as the brown version, and is VERY sensitive to the slightest damp in the atmosphere so tends to become completely solid long before the roll is finished. Looks better than the brown tape (Posted on 19.10.2015)

Following the bad review of the tape I tested it and found it to work well. The tape adhered to a paper surface and a MDF board surface with no residue and it did not come away - it seemed pretty firmly stuck on. It works just as well as its brown gummed tape equivalent...I guess the tape may feel slightly thinner to the touch than brown tape but not by much. The tape is a pleasure to use and is certainly a tape I would rely on - but if you have any issues with the tape please just let us know. By a member of staff who happens to also be an artist! Sorry but this is just horrible. Despite several attempts with different degrees of wetness of the paper and tape it is not up to the job of stretching watercolour paper. The surface fragments when you try to smooth it down and it simply does not stick well enough to the paper and you end up with it separating from the edges and irregular bumps and hollows!Not even worth one star but that is the minimum I can give. This was highly recommended by an American artist on a website, but I was disappointed with it as watercolours seep underneath the tape so you don't get a clean edge, yet at the same time it doesn't peel off tidily either. Maybe my technique needs improving, but I don't find it any better than drafting tape on 140lb aquarelle arches water-colour paper. (Posted on 28.02.2015)
