Jackson's : Half Sized French Style Box Easel
This half sized french style beechwood box easel is excellent quality and comes with a folding palette which measures 29 x 40cm. The easel folds up, making it ideal for artists who work outdoors or who need a compact easel.
It easily holds all of your essential paints and brushes and folds up so that it’s easy to carry and store. There’s enough space inside so that you can fit your materials in and carry them round with you or tidy them away easily at home.

Box Size 62.5 x 31 x 20 cm
Maximum canvas height 85cm.
Easel weight: 4kg approx.

Unfortunately after using this easel on location a slight problem occurred. I had my panel already in place for convenience I also leave it there for safe transit with a wet panel after painting. The problem is that when walking the pallette which acts as the lid for this model rattles and moves eventually sliding out and I noticed that a few brushes had fallen out along the path. I'm hoping that this will be solved with a thick elastic band around the pallette and draw. We shall see! Other than this I stick with my first review as it being quite worth its cost!Rating

It was a toss up between this easel and a more expensive well known make, as it was for my birthday. However I'm glad I didn't spend out on the more expensive make. This is a great easel, more than worth the money you pay for it. It's a great size for carrying around with you when out and about. There is plenty of room in the draw for brushes and 37ml tubes. This item is a cracker!It arrived, well packaged,within two days of my placing the order.It is of solid, traditional construction with fine brass fittings. For weather protection,I've given it the first of three coats of Danish oil, and it looks so good it's too good to use for painting. I thought about putting it in the front room as a piece of furniture!I've been a satisfied customer of Jacksons for several years, and this iis my best buy yet.
