Considered the elite hair for watercolour, Escoda selects only the best Kolinsky male sable hair for this brush. This hair comes from the Tajmyr region in very northern Siberia. Points perfectly and has an extraordinary capacity to retain liquids.

These are excellent quality travel brushes that come highly recommended. They are beautiful brushes each with a dark wood finish and comfortable golden-finished handle/cap. Plein air watercolourists would be delighted to receive this set as a gift.

This set consists of a luxurious synthetic leather case containing the full range of 6 Escoda Series 1214 travel brushes (Sizes 2,4,6,8,10,12) that are approx. 7 inches long when the handle is reversed. Ferrule width ranges from 2.02mm through to 6.9mm.

The Escoda Reserva travel brush set is absolutely beautiful and an delight to paint with. The beauty of this travel brush set compared to others is the leather case that comes with the set. I have purchased many other travel brushes and spend half my time looking for them in my bag but this set is convenient as the brushes are in a handy case that is easy to find. The brushes have a wonderful spring to them and snap back into shape every time. I would highly recommend these brushes to anyone that likes to work with best quality Kolinsky brushes. These Escoda Reservation sable brushes are perfect. Just the right amount of spring, good paint load with the truest point and the balance is perfect. The caps all fit snugly. I like that there is no advertising on the leather case. And for me, in the USA, the price is about 25% less than it is here, and free delivery. (Posted on 03.10.2015)
