The board is advertised as light weight, it is, and it's a joy to handle, at least ten fold lighter than my old MDF board. The board is faced with smooth fine grade plywood, it is quite thin, but should be fine if you treat with care. (Posted on 16.03.2017)

This drawing board is light yet firm - a bit of a problem with masking tape, which does not seem to adhere to the surface very firmly...

As with the easel, the initial board had to be replaced as there was a gash in the centre of one side - clearly caused by carelessness in handling by the delivery service, as there was a gash in the cardboard packing, as if pierced by a sharp object. (Posted on 16.03.2017)
