I was disappointed with this brush. It's an inexpensive price so I just kept it, but the squirrel hairs are too soft and long to give a variety of expressive 'sky' brush strokes. The hairs clump together when wet into one long point. Maybe the smaller size (3/4in) with shorter hairs would work better ? (Posted on 16.03.2017)Rating - Review by Feefo

This is a lovely brush to use if you want to paint large washes but also want to add small details without having to switch to a smaller brush. The brush holds a lot of water/pigment and is lovely and soft, yet it comes to a fine point, allowing fine work as well. It would be a good brush to include in a plein air kit.
