Pro Arte Prolene Plus Retractable brushes use a wide variety of Prolene synthetic filaments, replicating the spring and feel of sable. They hold colour well and are perfect for a wide variety of painting styles. The handle works as a protective cap for the brush, making them the ultimate portable watercolour brush.

Fantastic set brought these for out in the field but they feel so good, excellent spring, size and water holding strength I plan to use these for studio as well. Great brushes when painting outdoors! The brush head is protected being encased and the hole allows for air circulation when drying. I found the round brush holds a lot of water yet the fine point allows for fine detail too...as good as kolinsky sable brushes.Really pleases I bought these brushes!
