IMPORTANT: Due to supply issues, we will be discontinuing the Zest-it range. We highly recommend Jackson’s Puresol and Gamblin Gamsol, which are very similar products in terms of the core hydro-carbon ingredient, without the added orange scent. They are both bestsellers and are considered equal in terms of studio safety and environmental credentials, and the Puresol offers better value for money.

If you particularly like the orange scent, we recommend Roberson Studio Safe Orange Solvent or Lukas Citrus Turpentine. Again this has a very similar hydro-carbon core ingredient.

Zest-it Solvent is a much safer solvent for oil painters than Gum Turpentine and makes an excellent replacement. Ideal for those oil painters who prefer a non-citrus smell, a stronger action and a little more 'bite' to their solvent than the original Zest-it Oil Paint Dilutant and Brush Cleaner.

Use to dissolve Gum Damar and Mastic for making varnish, with drying oil to make a medium, as a dilutant for oil paint and for cleaning brushes.
