In order to achieve high standards regarding lightfastness, resolubility and stability, Schmincke Horadam Watercolours contain only the finest raw materials.

The paints are bound with Kordofan gum arabic from the southern Sahara. Due to the natural source of the binder, the gum arabic does tend to differ slightly year on year. Schmincke continually test the ingredients and the best of the batch is selected to ensure the highest quality is achieved. This means paint which has dried onto your palette can be easily re-wetted and painted with again. The range offers over 150 colours, with 95 single pigment hues for clean, pure colour mixing.

Ice Blue is an opaque blue - pale, delicate and wintry, ideal for painting cold skies, snow, and ice.
