Happy New Year everyone!
Many New Year’s resolutions seem to be rather negative proposals about doing less of the things you enjoy.
I would like to suggest some positive possibilities and since this is an art oriented blog my list leans in that direction.
This year I resolve to:
take more time for creativity. For some people creative time is not optional, it gets the same priority as bathing- you simply do it every day.
get organised. I don’t mind making a mess while I paint. But I don’t like to stop what I am doing to hunt for a colour of paint or a scalpel. Here are a few things to help with organisation. (organised studio tip: leave time at the end of painting to clean your brushes, don’t leave them until next time.)

Wooden Storage Boxes
Brush And Pencil Cases
and brush cleaning tanks
try new things. I hear people talking about trying new mediums or techniques but never quite getting around to it. Why not try encaustic, egg tempera, or silk painting. You might find just what you have always been looking for.
expand my knowledge of art.

spend time with art. This can be combined with the popular “spend more time with family and friends” resolution. Go see art together. Support your Arts!
