Sargent: The Watercolours

The first UK show in nearly 100 years devoted to watercolours by the Anglo-American artist, John Singer Sargent (1856-1925). Eighty works from 30 lenders are coming together.

Small paintings and drawings by members of the North of England Art Club, painted specially for the Bondgate Gallery.
The works are all 20x20cm. The North of England Art Club incorporates the Newcastle Society of Artists and has a history that goes back to 1835. The Club has studios at the Newcastle Arts Centre and around sixty members.

The Drawn Chorus Collective embark on an illustrative voyage of exploration and discovery with 30 artists working in range of mediums including print, collage and virtual reality.
