Turner Acrylic Gouache has a lovely velvety finish.
Turner Acrylic Gouache is made of ultra fine pigments suspended in an acrylic binder that appears matte when dry. Its highly fluid consistency enables one to achieve an even spread of uniform colour across large areas. Turner acrylic gouache thins with water but dries waterproof. It is quick drying. Characteristics of the paint surface can be manipulated with the use of acrylic mediums, as with other conventional acrylic paint. Turner Acrylic gouache adheres well to most surfaces including wood and plastic.
Artists who use Turner Acryl Gouache
Kaz Oomori is an artist who works in illustration and fine arts, in the south of Osaka, Japan. He paints with nylon brushes, stencil brushes, and masking tape on illustration board.
Gillian Swan has recently been shortlisted for and shown her work in prestigious exhibitions: ING Discerning Eye, the Threadneedle Prize, the Tribe Prize and others. As her work often references architecture her finished work is painted with household paints, but she uses Turner Acryl Gouache for her sketches and loves the colours!
Gillian tells us about her use of Turner Acryl Gouache:
“My work is primarily three dimensional and utilises a mix of materials and techniques to explore the built environment and investigate the relationships people have with their surroundings. My work often takes the form of relief sculptures which are constructed from paper and card and are then painted. Mainly I paint with house paint which I get from a paint recycling project but when I do sketches to work out colours and compositions I find it easier to use Turner Acryl Gouache paints as they have a matt texture similar to house paint and are available in an extensive range of colours.
Peter McDonald uses Turner Acryl Gouache for his colourful figurative paintings.

“I find the creamy consistency of Turner Acryl Gouache great for smooth painting and fine detail. I think the lovely matt velvety surface is gorgeous. I have used it for works on paper and complex painted patterns on sculpture. If left unvarnished I think the paint can look almost like flocking.” -Julie Caves
