Billy Showell has compiled a selection of watercolours, together with Sennelier, that she believes are at the heart of botanical studies. Sennelier L’Aquarelle watercolour paint has been produced in the same way for more than a century using the best pigments and top quality Gum Arabic as a bonding agent. This mix of natural ingredients produces colours which have a smooth, bright texture and offer lively, colourful shades. The Gum Arabic and honey combination offers incomparable quality of application, producing superb washes.
Hand-made in France, these beautiful artists’ watercolour brushes contain only the finest Kolinsky sable. Billy Showell has designed these brushes with Raphael for detail watercolour work. Showell’s brushes each have unique, long tapered, extra fine, round points. The set comes in a quality brush box that is great for storage and comes with sizes 2 and 6 round brushes, plus a synthetic eradicator (used to lift unwanted colour). The sable brushes are also sold individually.
