Lascaux make quality products that artists have come to rely on.
Lascaux are the makers of remarkable products. I know a number of artists that will use only Lascaux fixative for their drawings and pastel paintings. Their UV Spray Varnish is very popular. Many artists swear by their acrylic colours. I have found their acrylic primers and gesso to be very opaque and the least likely to crack if applied a bit too thickly. They make a great brush cleaner. Their Sirius Watercolour system is unique.
There are so many reasons to try Lascaux!

Lascaux The Spirit of Colours
Pioneering
The name Lascaux is evocative of a pioneering spirit, whether you go back 26,000 years, to the primeval force inherent in the cave paintings of Lascaux in the French Dordogne, or 40 years, to Alois K. Diethelms pioneering work with acrylic paints, for which he fittingly chose the brand name Lascaux.
Tried and tested
From the very outset Lascaux successfully incorporated the needs of artists and users into the development of its acrylic paints. And so, over the years, a palette of products has emerged which satisfies even the most exacting artistic and technical requirements. Since its founding in 1963 Lascaux has become one of the world’s leading manufacturers of water-based artists’ colours and products used for restoration.
Across the generations
Barbara Diethelm, the founder’s daughter and current company owner, has herself studied painting and upholds the tradition of optimising the company’s products through a process of creative exchange with artists. Thus the pioneering spirit which shaped Lascaux from the beginning lives on and thrives in the product range itself.
