We created Jackson’s Facebook Groups to create an art community group for those who love to paint, draw, or print. This article will outline the Facebook Groups we currently have on offer, how to join the groups, and how to get the most out of them.

Jackson’s Facebook Groups
Why Join Our Facebook Groups
Nestled in our Jackson’s community, our Facebook Groups offer up a friendly space for artists of all abilities to interact with each other. We encourage everyone to participate, share their artworks, as well as learn from other artist members who might be able to offer some helpful material advice and techniques. For example, if you are wanting to varnish your oil canvas painting, but you aren’t sure where to start, you can ask the group and the artists can offer some advice. Maybe you want some composition advice on your watercolour painting – reach out to the group. We also regularly monitor the group so always please feel free to send us a message if you’re struggling!
Another exciting element of the groups are our giveaways, exclusive to our Facebook Groups, that everyone in the group is welcome to participate in.
Here is a list of all the Facebook Groups we currently have on offer:
What to Share on Our Facebook Groups
It is important for us that these groups maintain a happy and helpful space for artists. Therefore, we have a couple of things in place to protect our members. Firstly, only members can see who is in the group and what they post. Secondly, we are the only moderator for all of the groups and if there is a post or comment that you think goes against the group guidelines please feel free to report it to us and we will manage it.
The guidelines are as follows:
1. Artists of all levels are welcome – Whether you’re an experienced artist or new to painting, we encourage you to share your artwork, discuss material techniques, and offer helpful advice.
2. Constructive discussion is encouraged – Be friendly, open-minded, and respectful.
3. Artwork posting – Only post your own artwork.
4. Hashtags – Get involved and tag your artwork with #ForThoseWhoLoveToPaint when sharing with the group, so people can find your artwork easily. We recommend you type it at the end of your post.
5. Privacy – Please protect your privacy by only sharing personal details that you are comfortable making public.
6. Posting etiquette – Please note, this isn’t a group for excessive self-promotion, unauthorised advertising, or irrelevant links. These posts will be removed.
7. Monitoring – Avoid posting anything that you think will offend anyone. If we’re worried that something might be offensive, we will remove the post.
How to Join Our Facebook Groups
It’s simple to join our Facebook Groups, as the only thing you need is a Facebook account. Firstly, ensure you are logged in to your account. Then type in ‘Jackson’s Art’ in your search bar and click on our page. Here’s what you should see.

Next, you need to click on the ‘More’ section of the Facebook bar. This is visible just under and to the right of our Profile picture. When you click on ‘More’ you will see a drop-down. You will then need to click on ‘Groups’.

This will take you to this page, which lists all of our Facebook Groups. Simply click the group you would like to join.

Now you’re on the main page of the group you would like to join, you just need to click ‘Join Group’. When your request has been sent you will see a banner saying ‘Your membership is pending’.

Our Facebook Groups are monitored every working day, so you won’t have to wait long to be accepted into the group. When you have been accepted into the group you can start looking through what other people have posted, commenting on others’ work, and posting!
We are elated that so many artists are already enjoying our Facebook Groups, and we would love to make more. If you have any ideas for other groups you think would be a great addition, let us know in the comments below.
