Charbonnel Lithographic Inks include specialist materials designed for traditional lithography and related printmaking techniques. The range features roll-up non-drying black ink, used to temporarily protect the stone between etchings and to secure the image after it has been drawn and processed.
The roll-up ink has a characteristically greasy texture, with ingredients selected for their resistance to corrosion. Also included are Lithographic Tusche Sticks, which are suitable for silkscreen and lithography. These produce rich, dark lines and solid areas for blocking out. Tusche can be mixed with water, turpentine, or petroleum solvents, with water producing freer flow and longer drying times, and solvents allowing deeper penetration into the stone.
