The Derwent Pastel Sharpener is designed for use with pastel pencils to achieve the perfect point. Pastel pencils can be more fragile than standard artists’ pencils and this sharpener has been specifically designed to accommodate for this. It is also suitable for sharpening charcoal pencils and other large diameter pencils.
