Acrylic Gesso - Golden : Grounds
Acrylic gesso combines chalk, or whiting, with an acrylic polymer to seal the fibres of your substrate and create an absorbent, textured ground for oil or acrylic painting.
Acrylic gesso typically contains more chalk than acrylic primer, so it produces a rougher and more absorbent surface that some painters prefer. It is best applied in several thin layers to build strength and uniformity. Shop popular options from brands including Golden, Holbein, and our own Jackson's range.
