Jackson’s Relief Inks and lino sheets offer great value for money because they are good quality at a good price.
Jackson’s Waterbased Relief Ink is great for lino printing as well as woodblock printing or mono printing. Made and formulated in the UK to give extended working time, good colour density and excellent transfer properties. The colour is not waterproof when dry, it is like watercolour paint. Non-toxic and safe for educational use. Ideal for those that prefer not to use solvents. Comes in a handy squeezy bottle.
The JAS 3.2mm thick sheets/blocks of lino are made especially for printmaking purposes so are softer than the traditional flooring linoleum. Cutting away the surface of a lino sheet or block using small sharp cutters forms the basis of a lino print. The surface of the block is inked up and this forms a positive image when printed. (Remember that it prints in reverse.)
