Matisse Flow Formula acrylic colours are vibrant, intense, low-viscosity acrylics. They dry to a smooth finish with virtually no texture, making them well-suited to blocks of flat colour and fine brushwork.

All Matisse colours are formulated to resist fading or degradation over time under normal conditions. Each colour has undergone years of testing to achieve an optimum pigment load with a reliable, consistent flow. The smooth, flowing finish can be further enhanced by using fine natural hair or soft synthetic brushes. They are suitable for mural work, acrylic painting on canvas, geometric art, hard-edge painting, photo realism, and detailed brushwork.

Matisse Flow Formula acrylic colours are highly versatile and can be used across a wide range of techniques. Watercolour-style effects can be simulated with ease. They can also be used for airbrushing with the addition of specific mediums.

Matisse Flow Formula is fully compatible with Matisse Mediums. When mixed with MM5 Matt Medium, it becomes an excellent designer’s paint, suitable for flat areas of colour and work intended for photography. Matisse Structure and Flow Formulas can be used together within the same painting to achieve varied effects. Both formulas share the same colour range. Matisse Flow Formula dries to a satin finish within minutes under normal conditions and does not require dilution.
