I’d love to know more about artwork
licensing.
Hi!
I would love to know the best way to sell
your art and remain anonymous.
Thanks
I would love to know the best way to be
discovered by galleries, collectors and
curators please.
My question is there a
recommendation/resource for the type
of scanner to scan art work?
Any advice on open call art exhibitions?
Are there any particular ones to submit to? What key
info to write in the submission?
I’d like to know how to price my artwork.
Including how to make/sell prints of my
work. Many people say they would like
to buy a print, and I don’t know how to
go about this (should they be numbered?
How do prints affect the value of the
original?)
I’d like to know how to make something
(money? Visibility?) of my artwork
despite not having been to art school.
I’d like to know how to explore what
themes there are in my artwork, and how
these can be used to pitch/describe my
artwork to others.
How do you choose which gallery to
approach, and if it’s the right fit for you?
and what is the best way to approach them?
I have a degree in fine art but haven’t
sold one of my paintings since 1990s. I
exhibit locally but no sales.
What art do people actually buy- I have
doubts no one buys oil paintings of
landscapes. Are square canvases more
sellable? Should I avoid A1/A2 size
canvases? I was only diagnosed autistic
aged 53 and always had problems
selling and talking about my art.
I’d also like thoughts on pricing my
artwork and licensing. Additionally, I’m
interested in pros and cons of different
methods of selling artwork and
generating exposure factoring in things
like commissions, delivery costs e.g.
online ‘galleries’, marketplace websites,
physical galleries, personal websites
etc. Lastly, what do I need to be aware of
if thinking about when holding my first
exhibition?
Have you ever used an agent? If so how
would you recommend going about this?
I do mainly illustration work and wonder
if this would be a good way to start out.
I would like information on how to go about
licensing my art
Do you have any advice on selling older
artwork (only a couple of years old) when
these collections are quite different from
current work in progress that will be going
on my website soon? Our work, as artists,
will always be evolving, but what do we do
when our work then does not look similar
to current work? I don’t want to give to
charity and I don’t want to sell on another
art website.
I’d like to hear your thoughts on this:
between Instagram and Gallery, is there
other ways of consistently selling art? (oil
painting in this case). Thank you
