This Melbourne-based company was set up by David Coles in 1992 with the aim of producing modern, exceptional artists’ oil colours, fit for the 21st century.

Swiss company Lascaux is owned by Barbara Diethelm who continues to uphold a reputation for innovative, professional water-based colours, founded by her father in 1963.

Artist John Hersey’s vision and production of pure, richly pigmented soft pastels began in 1987. His son Dan, now runs this renowned company based in Northumbria, UK.
