Rod Nelson
Rod Nelson ARE is a Gloucestershire-based printmaker specialising in woodblock prints. Self-taught and highly distinctive in approach, he has developed his own tools and techniques over decades, creating prints shaped by a deep connection to wood, landscape, and material process.
Rod has exhibited widely in the UK and internationally, and teaches woodcut at West Dean College as well as running workshops from his home studio and elsewhere. He is also the co-author of Making Woodblock Prints. Discover Rod’s favourite art supplies at Jackson’s.
