Williamsburg : Oil Paint Native Italian Earth Set : 37ml : Set of 10

This set contains a range of ten native Italian earth colours. This renowned selection of colours from Williamsburg contains the same pigments made famous by the Italian Renaissance and used by conservators. Clean, vibrant, more translucent than other earths, they can completely change your attitude of what an earth colour can be. Unlike synthetic iron oxides, no two natural earths are ever alike, and these rare Italian colours are prized among painters as among the finest available in the world.

Williamsburg's oil paint accumulated a following and international presence while preserving the handmade integrity of the paint. Each colour is ground to enhance the beauty and luminosity specific to that particular pigment. Some colours will feel slightly gritty, others extremely smooth. The pigments are ground in pure, premium, alkali-refined and PH- balanced linseed oil and made in batches no larger than five gallons at a time. This gives total control over the product, much like the late nineteenth-century French colour makers. All the materials are hand measured, and every ounce of paint is scrutinised.
