If you want to create a subtle blend of colors then the Derwent Blender is the ideal accessory. The Blender pencil is a soft colorless pencil made from the binder used for colored pencils. It allows you to blend two or more colors together to create a new color. At the same time it physically mixes and smoothes the colors so individual strokes and hard edges are softened.

Great blender with any coloured pencil really, but excels with polychromos, and Prisma. I have myself been using it with the darker lumograph pencils, and it’s fantastic there too. Nice and smooth, and doesn’t really burnish the work either!

First time using a blender pencil, I found it really good when using with coloured pencils to blend the colours. I would recommend this product if you colour using pencils.
