Updated review on this product. After using it for some time now I've found that it's perfect for gouache but the glue is still not strong enough for watercolour painting. I still experience the sheets lifting from the block and coming loose completely with watercolour,

My all time favorite watercolor paper. I like to use this both with watercolors as well as with acrylic inks and works well with both.

I purchased this block and the HP surface one, for two reason. Firstly, that i am awaiting a house move, so don't have the space to paint on, or store the full imperial sheets that i plan to, but also that these blocks are already 'stretched' for use -again a space issue. Secondly, i wanted to test out this brand of paper, before committing to the expense of larger sheets. I am so far very happy with this block, and am confident that when the time comes to order the imperial sheets, that this is the paper i wish to use... The colour is not a startling 'white', but definately a lighter shade from traditional papers -fantastic for transparent glazes where you want the light to reflect through, and retained whites to be 'white' -all arrived in perfect condition, very well protected by plenty of packaging, and very quick delivery. These came in the 2nd delivery of 2 i have so far made, and i shall be ordering again soon.
