I'd heard stories about issues using Gamvar so I was prepared for a struggle but no, this goes on wonderfully. And it really does go a long way. I dipped my brush and removed as much as I could until the brush was barely wet and that amount covered a 12 by 12 panel! That's pretty good going. It wasn't quite that efficient on all the piece I varnished but not far from it. It really is a satin varnish though. Based on my experience, when a varnish calls itself satin, it is mildly glossy unless you mix it with a matte varnish. But this really is a satin finish: not matte, not gloss but actually satin! Unless there are issues down the road, I will be using this as my varnish from now on.

It is as promised. Apparently I need to add 7 more characters. This also explains why I will try not to use Jacksons again.

Very good to apply, a nice satin finish. A little goes a long way.
