Jackson's : 19mm White Gesso Cradled Painting Panel : 6x6in

Jackson's White Gesso Panels are made with MDF board and cradled with pine, and are ideal for acrylic painting. They can be bought as singles or in packs of ten. These economical panels feature a surface tough enough for the most rigorous painting and mixed media techniques.

Jackson's White Gesso Panels have been hand-coated with a professional acid-free acrylic gesso ground, with added Titanium White. The frame is made of pinewood, and the board is MDF. This makes them ideal for use with a broad range of drawing and painting media. Because these panels have been made by hand, they are not perfectly uniform and may display slight differences in texture. The surface of the panel may appear perfectly smooth or be slightly textured like cold-pressed watercolor paper.

If a perfectly smooth surface is required, they can be given a light sanding with fine-grade sandpaper. They can also be customized with other primers or gessoes that suit a particular painting technique or desired texture.

Please note, these panels may have a slight pink discoloration on the surface and have been reduced in price to reflect this. The coloring will not affect the panel’s performance, but you may want to apply an additional coat of primer if working with thin glazes.

Please note, for oil painting, we recommend applying an extra coat of primer suitable for oils, such as Jackson's Acrylic Gesso Primer.
