Jackson’s Hereford Printmaking Paper is a new paper for printmakers, created to fill a gap left by the closure of the Zerkall Paper Mill in 2022. Designed for woodblock, letterpress, and bookbinding, Hereford can also be used for other print techniques. Its part cotton/part alpha-cellulose content makes it very sensitive for fine intaglio printing. The smooth surface and medium weight give excellent results when hand burnishing relief prints. It has a lovely classic white colour that enriches printmakers' black inks.
Hereford Printmaking Pads contain 25 sheets and the paper is part-rag, internally and externally sized with vegan gelatine and acid-free.
