The 115gsm (4oz) traditional medium texture weave cotton used on these Premium Cotton Canvas Boards is suitable for oil and acrylic painting - from thin washes to thick impasto marks, and is universally primed to 240gsm (7oz) to protect the natural fibres of the cotton. Each board is 4mm thick and extremely rigid, with the canvas wrapped around the edges and glued to compressed cardboard.

These are perfect for my work - they're good quality yet cheap enough to not induce that fear of 'wasting' a canvas. I had previously been using Jackson's Academy canvas boards, but much prefer the rigidity and absorbency of these. Would love to see some elongated sizes made available for more panoramic landscapes. My only (very minor) gripe about them is that on some corners the folded canvas bulges out a little - I haven't framed any of my pieces but I imagine this could be a bit of a nuisance in a floating frame.
