The 115gsm (4oz) traditional medium texture weave cotton used on these Premium Cotton Canvas Boards is suitable for oil and acrylic painting - from thin washes to thick impasto marks, and is universally primed to 240gsm (7oz) to protect the natural fibres of the cotton. Each board is 4mm thick and extremely rigid, with the canvas wrapped around the edges and glued to compressed cardboard.

I can't really comment on this, as I have only just started to use the boards, but they seem just what I want.

I believe this is a GOOD product but not yet a GREAT one! Why, I this the coating used to prime it, acts just a little too much like a sealant for my liking. the result is that, the canvas is not as porous or absorbant as I feel it ought to be and this results in having to apply a wash of acrylic paint on top just to create a better key, for all future layers on paint to take hold and allow for a sharper, clearer more defined end result...at least for me. So I would give this product 9 out of 10.
