Kuretake Co. Ltd was founded in Nara, Japan, in 1902. They began by manufacturing Sumi Ink and have since provided their customers with high quality markers, inks, brush pens, and a great range of drawing and writing tools to satisfy every need. All their pens are made in Japan and are suitable for both professionals and amateurs.
In the time since their foundation, Kuretake created a number of products ahead of their time, such as the Bokuteki (liquid Sumi ink) and Fude Pens (brush pens), all while preserving its roots as a Sumi manufacturer. The liquid sumi ink "Bokuteki" has been a long-selling product for over 60 years since it was first released in 1958.
