This is my preferred fixative as it does not saturate a surface all at once and affect colours in earth pigment painting. If used in layers, smudge protection is good enough, even on charcoal.

This is the ONLY fixative I'll use. It doesn't flatten colours, nor does it yellow whites. All colours stay as they are in the stick. I use this spray for soft pastels mainly, and acrylics. I can be used on pretty well anything. The best product ever for fixing.

I used lascaux fixative in Canada. It is that good, I won't use anything else.It protects my work, is wate/sunr resistant, keeps the colours true, even whites. I can paint over it, use pastels over it, without interfering with the medium/colour unerneath it. I would recommend this as the one & only to anyone using soft pastels, mixed media, pencil etc. I can't say enough about this fixative. I love it!!
