Lascaux Transparent UV Gloss Varnish 1 is a water-thinnable acrylic varnish that dries to a brilliantly clear, high-gloss film with superior transparency. The UV-inhibitors significantly improve the lightfastness and weather-resistance of acrylic paint outdoors. It has excellent adhesion, hardness, and abrasion resistance, helping to protect painted surfaces from scratches and moisture. It can also be mixed into Lascaux Artist and Studio acrylic colors to enhance their hardness and surface durability.
Ideal for a variety of stable supports, including canvas, wood, hardboard, and digital prints, this versatile varnish serves as a protective finish, a painting medium, or as a varnish for gold leaf.
Please note, to achieve full UV protection, this varnish should be applied in at least two thin coats (diluted with 25% water).
