Liquitex Satin Fluid Medium gives acrylic colour a satin finish and is also suitable for use as a collaging adhesive. This lightfast and archival medium helps to extend colour without affecting stability and increases colour depth and transparency. It can be used as a non-removable varnish to protect paintings and establish a satin surface sheen. Suitable to use as a glue when collaging with lightweight materials and can also be used to transfer printed images.

How to use: The medium can be thinned by diluting with up to 25% water - distilled water will give the best results. Mix as much medium into acrylic colour to create the viscosity and transparency you want. The more you add, the thinner and more transparent the colour will become. The medium is semi-opaque when wet and transparent when dry. To fix pastel, graphite, or chalk, mix 1 part medium to 1 part distilled water and apply with an atomizer or airbrush. To use as a lightweight collaging glue, apply with a brush or a sponge.Do not shake or vigorously over-brush as this can result in a foggy, hazy look when dry. Do not use with non-acrylic media.
