Pebeo's Vitrail range makes the beauty of stained glass art accessible to all. With its transparent, intense, and brilliantly bright colors, you can easily recreate the look of traditional stained glass by using Vitrail paints with Pébéo's Cerne Relief outliners to imitate grooved lead strips. The colors combine beautifully to produce striking light effects, and for a bold alternative, Pebeo also offers opaque colors that deliver luminous, solid finishes.
These solvent-based paints are ready to use, offer good lightfastness, and are suitable for a variety of carefully degreased transparent surfaces such as glass, acetate, polyester, and plexiglass. The colors are mixable, tack-free in one hour, and fully dry in eight hours when applied in thin coats. The finish is brilliant, and both transparent and opaque options are available for varied artistic effects.
The 26 “antique” Vitrail transparent colors are dense and exceptionally clear, while the 10 opaque shades bring richness and vibrancy to your work. The painted surface is durable and can be gently washed with cold water, although objects decorated with Vitrail paints are intended for decorative use only, not for practical handling or food contact. The Vitrail colors can also be used in bowl techniques for unique effects.
For best results, clean brushes thoroughly after use with white spirit or odorless mineral spirit, followed by a rinse in soapy water.
