Catalyst Polytip Bristle Brushes represent an advance in synthetic brush technology. The filaments are super stiff yet highly responsive, maintaining their integrity even in water, unlike natural hog bristle, which can soften and weaken when soaked.
The defining feature of this range is the Polytip design. Each synthetic hair is split into two to three distinct tips, replicating the natural flags found on fine natural bristle. This allows the brush to hold a greater volume of paint while delivering smoother, more controlled application.
Designed for use with medium to heavy-bodied acrylics and oil paints, Catalyst Polytip brushes are also capable of pushing heavy gel mediums with confidence. When cleaning synthetic brushes used with oil paint, avoid turpentine as it may damage the filaments. An odorless or low-odor brush cleaner is recommended instead.
