Richeson's Pochade box is essentially an easel and a palette in one, making it a fantastic choice for plein air painters. Both Medium and Large Pochade boxes include a removable tempered glass palette, ideal for oil and acrylic paints. The Sienna Watercolor Palette and pastel box (sold separately) can also be used in the Pochade boxes for added versatility.
The Pochade box also includes a handy brush tray that stores on the back of the lid with magnets.

Review
This is a fantastic box. It surpasses the majority of pochades on the UK market by a long way. Firstly it can hold panels up to 17 inches tall and any width and all variations in-between due to the clever easel design, which is so easy to use. It has a large palette area for mixing colours which is made of glass that is a doddle to clean. In addition the brush tray that comes with it can double up as extra palette space. It comes with a hook to hang a brush washer pot. It can open at any angle or completely flat and is very secure. The wood is absolutely beautiful. Sienna really listens to feedback and responds by making worthwhile additions to the product, in this case by adding magnetic blocks that simply lift away to allow removal of the plate glass palette, as oppose to the blocks that had to be unscrewed on the previous version. Very easy to attach to a tripod. In my opinion this is without a doubt the best box on the market, and I would imagine it even surpasses the top brand American boxes that are far more expensive.
