In order to achieve high standards regarding lightfastness, resolubility and stability, Schmincke Horadam watercolors contains only the finest raw materials.
The paints are bound with Kordofan gum arabic from the southern Sahara. Due to the natural source of the binder, the gum arabic does tend to differ slightly year on year. Schmincke continually tests their ingredients and the best of the batch is selected to ensure the highest quality is achieved. This means paint which has dried onto your palette can be easily re-wetted and painted with again.
Dot cards are a great way of trying out a color before investing, and also make a great color chart to reference from when working out what colors you will need for a particular painting.
With a wet brush the colors can be painted directly in the fields marked with name and number.
