These sketchbooks, there are two sizes, so check which one suits your purpose( I have both sizes). There are fifty pages in each book with three tinted papers, black, grey and pale brown. I haven’t bought stillman and birn sketchbooks before but I wanted these because I like drawing and sketching on tinted paper and these are the only ones with three different colours. I haven’t tried watercolour on them but they are great for pencil drawing, pen and ink, coloured pencils, markers and crayons. You need slightly heavier media like markers of crayons for coloured paper, pencils don’t show up nearly so well.
