Info
Stonehenge Aqua Not (Coldpress) is a superb paper for watercolor painters since it has a rugged, textured surface that naturally receives applied moisture. This makes it ideal for the blending and lifting of color and enables you to create atmospheric complex paintings.
Stonehenge Aqua is a high quality, silky watercolor paper that performs excellently with wet-on-wet applications or wet-on-dry applications. It’s crispness and excellent quality enables it to anchor work beautifully no matter what the technique. Lifting and blending are a dream on this paper allowing you the control you need to produce strong, accomplished work. It’s absorbency is perfect for preventing bright colors drying to a dull tone. The flat paper dries flat and resists buckling, whether you’re using blocks or sheets. Stonehenge Aqua can be used for watercolor, pen and ink drawings, intaglio printing, calligraphy, pastel painting and silkscreen printing.
Each sheet is made from 100% cotton and is acid and chlorine free with a synthetic sizing, that doesn’t contain any gelatine.
This is a block of 15 sheets of 300gsm Stonehenge Aqua Not coldpress paper measuring 18 x 24in. Each sheet is glued on two sides and can be carefully removed when dry using a butter knife.

Review
I got myself a postcard size testpackage, did some testing and kinda liked it, so I ordered 3 pads in 2 different sizes (14x20" and 18x24"). When I actually tried to make a painting on this paper, I found it to be very poor quality. Lifting watercolor seems pretty much impossible. The moment you touch it 3 times with any synthetic brush the surface of the paper starts breaking! Also my Maimeri watercolors don't dry near as vibrant as it does on for example Arches CP of Fabriano CP. I wasted nearly 200 pounds on this paper, and it will prob take up shelve space in my studio, untill I finally decide to accept the loss and throw it out. I wont even consider to give it away and frustrate other artists with bad paper.
