Mark Stopforth is a British painter known for his powerful landscapes in oils. Inspired by the moors, fens, fells and estuaries of Britain, his work explores the sublime character of wild places through expressive mark-making and a strong emotional response to landscape.
Mark also teaches workshops in oil painting and still life, encouraging artists to explore composition, pattern, and expressive alla prima approaches in a supportive setting. Discover Mark’s favourite art supplies at Jackson’s.
