Info

The ABT Dual Brush Pen is a marker with two tips. The fine tip is perfect for consistent lines and tight drawings, e.g. when working with stencils. The second one is highly flexible like a brush – durable, tough and yet soft – and perfect for large-area color application. The single ink reservoir not only ensures exact color match but also makes the ABT Dual Brush Pen an economical purchase.

The ABT Dual Brush Pen is available in 96 vivid colors. The colors are water-based and can be used as water-colors and can also be blended. For this purpose, apply the colors to a glossy surface, e.g. an old CD; and blend them with the help of a paint-brush and water. That way you can create beautiful effects and shades.

The Tombows offer many different applications and can be used for card-making, stamping, sketching, comic drawing, illustrating and much more. Please note that the colors of the ABT Dual Brush Pens are not light-resistant. Therefore, your artwork should not be exposed to direct sunlight.

Review

These pens are absolutely the best for pen and ink artists who like watersoluble ink. They are in strong, bold colours, but when dampened the colour floods lusciously and I have not found another make to match their sensitivity to water. I use them for landscape sketches and lifeclasses plus any quick sketching projects. I usuallly use them with a Pentel or Derwent water brush and would not be without them. If you use a lltte water the black just flows into a sghadow, but if yoiu use plenty it splits into pink and blue , which can give brilliant effects. I often use the grey and brown (which comes out as sepia) for a gentler effect and would not be without them.
