ArtGraf’s new Drawing Putty encourages complete freedom in mark-making. It is a soft, malleable putty saturated with graphite that can be constantly re-molded to draw in new and inventive ways. It is also water soluble, allowing it to not only be worked in a multitude of ways but create a vast range of tones and densities of graphite. This allows artists to blend, sketch, smudge, create washes, opaque blocks of tone and everything in between.
This 450g block of graphite drawing putty is supplied in a ceramic pot with a cork lid.

Love this
Apart from its presentation I love this. Interesting mark making. Great for playing with ideas. And because it’s a big dollop of graphite you can use it to make some very big marks.

I look forward to using this product and it arrived in the US carefully packaged. However, when unwrapped, I saw the cork lid was cracked. My other order of Jackson's charcoal was scratched and looked like a store sample. The charcoal had leaked. It feels half empty. First and last time I will use Jackson's.

Never used anything like it before. Weird and wonderful drawing medium. It's going to take some experimentation to work out all the things you can do with this (you might want to wear gloves)!
