Charvin Paris: Quality Oil Colours From the French Riviera Since 1830

Charvin has been making fine artists' oil colours since 1830. Their process uses only traditional techniques and high quality ingredients. Based in Cannes on the French Riviera, Charvin blends time-honoured craftsmanship with a love for colour.

The company’s roots go back to the 19th century, when they supplied paints to leading artists of the time. This included masters like Cézanne, Bonnard, and Ambrogiani. Today, Charvin still stands for quality and offers both Extra-Fine and Super-Fine oil paint ranges.

Charvin Oil Paints are made without compromise. They use some of the oldest oil paint recipes still in use today, combining triple-milled pigments with linseed and non-yellowing poppy oil. The result is a vibrant and consistent paint that works well in both traditional and modern techniques. Each colour is highly concentrated and ready to use straight from the tube. These paints are especially loved by plein air painters due to the great colour choice and small 20ml tubes.

With Charvin, artists can spend less time mixing their paint and more time creating. This ease and quality make Charvin a favourite for artists seeking a professional, reliable oil colour.
