The story began in 1934 with the launch of ‘Radiant Concentrated Water Colors’, originally made by B. Aronstein & Co. in Flushing, New York. A young Ben Salis joined the company in 1936 and soon became known as ‘Doctor Martin’ due to his inventive approach and several product patents. He eventually became the owner and developed the brand into a global leader in liquid colour.
Under the continued leadership of the Salis family, Dr. Ph. Martin’s built a reputation for high quality, liquid-based products such as dyes and pigment inks. Their iconic lines, including Radiant and Hydrus, are trusted by artists working on paper, canvas, film, fabric, and more.
Among their most popular products is Bleed Proof White, an opaque white ink that is considered to be one of the best whites on the market.
