Soda Ash is a fixative for Procion MX fibre-reactive dyes, helping them bond securely to cellulose fibres and silk, whether added to the dye bath or used as a fabric pretreatment.

Informacje
Handprinted Soda Ash is used to fix Jacquard Procion MX Dyes. Procion MX dyes are fibre-reactive cold-water dyes that set chemically rather than with heat. They are ideal for tie-dye, batik, shibori, ice dyeing, bucket and low-water-immersion dyeing, printing, direct painting, and other dye applications.
When working with Procion MX dyes, the soda ash fixative can be added directly to the dye bath or used to pretreat the fabric. Suitable for cellulose fibres such as cotton, linen, canvas, hemp, jute, ramie, sisal, paper and rayon, and also effective on silk.
