Michael Harding Miracle Medium (MM0) has been carefully developed to provide a low-toxic, plant-based alternative to traditional oil painting solvents such as turpentine and white spirit.
This eco-friendly, biodegradable diluent will enhance the flow of oil paints without affecting the drying time while providing excellent blending capabilities, superb brush control, and effortless clean-up. It is also different to a traditional oil paint solvent because it doesn't break down the polymer chains in drying oils, thus avoiding making the paint film brittle.
Miracle Medium is made from renewable vegetable sources and is odourless and non-flammable, making it a safer alternative for the oil painter’s studio. As well as being an exceptional quality oil paint thinner it can also be used to clean brushes without removing the natural oils contained in the filaments for a longer lasting brush. It will also remove excess paint from palettes and painting surfaces.
This low-toxic paint medium eliminates exposure to harmful fumes commonly associated with traditional solvents for a safer working environment without compromising on quality and performance.

Miracle Medium indeed
When I first became aware of Michael Harding's Miracle Medium I thought it sounded a bit far fetched even for MH I thought "Michael you manufacture, without fear of contradiction some of the world finest oil paints. So when I came across Miracle Medium I thought it sounded a bit stretched. However, a big however having done several painting with the medium I can understand the connect behind the product. For the oil artist I cannot recommend this product highly enough. The medium you might say is 'studio friendly' There are next to no fumes and what little here is gives off a pleasant aroma. I understand the ingredients within the product are plant based and bio degradable so regarding studio health & safety its second to none. I experiments with a rag (outside of course) to see if the medium would ignite - it didn't so they was a huge factor for H&S. I would highly recommend Miracle Medium for use in art schools particularly where children are concerned. The product is excellent for cleaning brushes it dissolves oil paint from the brush very easily with minimal agitation which is highly beneficial for soft hair brushes. I use the medium to treat and reshape brushes after use particular the soft hair brushes. It really is an excellent product which I highly recommend. The Miracle Medium Quick Drying Damar Glaze is excellent for glazing techniques and leaves a beautiful semi-gloss finish. For any oil painter who isn't afraid to experiment and expand and develop their techniques and application then I highly recommend trying Miracle Medium
